Sonic allergen menu

Sonic reports 10 allergens for 195 of the 201 items on its US menu: milk, egg, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, sesame and gluten. 68 of those items list none of them.

6 of the 201 items have nutrition values but are not listed in Sonic’s allergen information. They are marked “Not in allergen guide” and are never shown as free of an allergen.

Sonic relies on its suppliers for allergen information and shares cooking and preparation areas, so it says it cannot rule out cross-contact or promise that any item is free of an allergen, and no item is certified gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan. Blended drinks and frozen desserts share tools, fried foods share fryers, and grilled items share the grill. Buns, Texas Toast, eggs, grilled onions and grilled peppers are cooked with a bun oil that contains soy. Some breads come from local bakeries, so ingredients and allergens such as sesame can differ by restaurant. Tell your carhop about any food allergy before ordering. Items marked as fried carry a risk of cross-contact with all allergens.
